OUR STONE CAN BE CUT AND POLISHED!! Las Vegas Rock now operates a state of the art cutting and polishing facility near our quarry. We are able to produce an exotic and unique stone product from the USA . After exhaustive research and development we selected the Pellegrini DF2000TOP Vertical Saw from Italy, the Thibaut TSH 1800 Horizontal Wire Saw from France, and the Thibaut T500 Polisher because we felt they were best suited for our Meta-Quartzite stone. Both the Pellegrini and the Thibaut saws use a diamond wire that cuts cleanly and precisely through our stone. Our Meta-Quartzite stone can be honed or polished to a mirror-like finish and the slabs and tiles produced are as durable as they are beautiful.

Through laboratory tests, Vegas Rock has learned that our stone can accept sealer with unusual and exceptional consistency (Please see ASTMs). This characteristic is particularly valuable in the kitchen, bathroom, and interior/exterior high traffic applications. The striations within the stone provide a color variation that we discovered to be another unique quality when the stone is cut and polished at various angles. The lines and shapes within the slabs can be placed opposite each other to form a “bookend” design, or together to form unusually shaped patterns. Our meta-quartzite stone can be used in many applications. Designers and Fabricators can use our stone to design many different interiors and exteriors for the same project; casinos, commercial complexes, housing developments, office buildings, etc.
